The quest to find a men's grooming line designed especially for men sensitive to scents and colognes has been a decades-long search for Christian Anderson. He discovered that, like many other men, he had a hyper-sensitivity to the fragrances and perfumes used in most commercial men's shaving and bath products. He consistently experienced headaches, rashes and skin eruptions with most products he used over the years.
In 2003, he teamed up with business partner Grover Taylor, who didn't subscribe to the idea that men had to use flowery or perfume-scented products to feel clean, well-groomed, and younger looking. Together they co-founded Anderson & Taylor, Inc., to create a fine grooming line of products for the man who wants to feel fresh, not "floral".
